| Posted: 21 Feb 2010 09:04 AM PST Over the past week we ran a poll to find out how frequently our readers go to confession. The poll closed last night at midnight. Eye-Popping Debt Posted: 21 Feb 2010 07:29 AM PST Whoever he is, whenever he's named, here's hoping the cleric who'll emerge in due time as the tenth bishop of Scranton comes prepared to face more than his share of headaches. First on his plate: restoring lasting calm following the contentious six-year tenure of Bishop Joseph Martino... |

| Posted: 19 Feb 2010 09:02 PM PST Traditionally, the Church has understood Our Lord's three temptations in the desert as a summary of the temptations we face. St. Thomas observes, "The matter of all sins were included in the three temptations." By this interpretation, Our Lord occupies our place. On our behalf He undergoes and triumphs over the temptations of the evil one. Or... |
