Make a Lasting First Impression
The first impression you make to a potential employer often makes the most impact. It is important to present yourself in a way that will stand out among the other job seekers interviewing for the position. Here are some simple steps to help you prepare for your next interview.
First, prepare yourself for the interview. Research the employer, company history, and the position requirements. Be prepared to show how you will be a good fit in their company, and have your questions ready beforehand. During the interview, you will want to be aware of your presentation including: appearance, posture, eye contact, and mannerisms. Answer interview questions openly and with concise answers. Don't forget to end your interview in a positive way that will leave the good impression on the employer's mind. Finally, consider sending a thank you note to your interviewer, within a day or two after your meeting.
