Day 99

FIRSTBORN

That he might be the firstborn
among many brothers.
Romans 8:29

FROM THE FATHER'S HEART
My child, My love for you is greater than you will completely understand. I loved you so much I willingly gave My life. I was the firstborn—the delight of My Father. Yet I left heaven and all My inherent firstborn rights to fulfill My Father's plan—so you could be My brothers and sisters, so that together we could share in the joys of being part of the family of God.

A GRATEFUL RESPONSE
For You to give up Your own firstborn Son—what a sacrifice for me—so that I could become part of Your family is almost beyond my powers of comprehension. Can I doubt any of Your gifts, Lord? If You gave so willingly of Your very best then, I trust Your love and judgment to give me what You feel is best always.

SIMPLE TRUTH

There's no room for jealousy in the family of God.
