Have you ever been totally surprised, caught off guard, stunned? The early followers of Jesus had seen Him arrested and then killed by the Roman government with the gruesome act of crucifixion. They knew He was dead. The morning after the Sabbath (Saturday), some of the women went to the tomb in order properly prepare His body for burial. To their utter surprise and shock, He was not there.
