| Posted: 13 May 2010 04:11 AM PDT The apostle John was on the Mount called Olivet when the Lord appeared to him. Jesus said, "John, where are the other disciples? I have something important to tell you all and then I'm going to ascend to my Father." John replied, "Lord, today was not a good day for them. |
| Today's "spontaneous" = tomorrow's repetitious Posted: 13 May 2010 06:00 AM PDT When I was an Evangelical Christian, we would often engage in "spontaneous" prayer in which each person would simply pray as "the Spirit led them." We were against rote prayers, feeling that they were "traditions of men" and broke the Lord's command against vain and repetitious prayer (Matthew 6:7). |

Look at the picture above, for example. Nothing in it is moving, but your eyes see it undulating and pulsating, don't they? |
| Bill Gates' Foundation Funding Male Contraception Research Posted: 12 May 2010 01:40 PM PDT The reason why women have contraception and men don't is because men didn't want the side-effects or the responsibility - including the fact that women died while being experimented on. So, male researchers stopped experimenting on men and switched to women. Now... |
| Another Reason I Love Pope Benedict Posted: 12 May 2010 11:03 AM PDT By Mark Shea | is that he shares my non-emotive relationship with our Lady. Don't get me wrong. I don't have a problem with people (like f'rinstance John Paul) who have an intensely emotional relationship with Mary. My attitude to the readers of Spirit Daily and those who are deeply enthused about Marian apparitions is "de gustibus". |
