 Dear Encouragement for Today Friend, It is an honor to spend a few minutes with you every day through our daily e-mail devotions. When we are writing these devotions, we imagine where you are when you're reading them. Are you still in your jammies sipping your morning coffee? Or waiting in the carpool line reading it off your Blackberry? Do you have a pile of laundry waiting to be folded, a stack of bills to pay, and errands you aren't looking forward to running today? So do we. Everyday life is the place from which we write our devotions. I pray our daily Encouragement for Today e-mail blesses you- interrupts you- challenges you- and certainly encourages you every day. It has always been our desire to facilitate getting women into God's Word and letting God's Word get into them. That's when real life change happens! It has always been our great joy to provide these daily devotions at no charge. But once a year, we come to our girlfriends and ask you to make an investment in this ministry. This year we're asking you to help us build our home. We need an office space to call our own, and our auditors have advised us to purchase rather than to continue to spend money on rent. However, we simply do not have the funds available to put enough of a down payment necessary to keep our payments within our budget. At the end of 2009, we sent out a cry for help, asking donors to prayerfully consider helping us to "build" our home. While we are extremely grateful for the donations that poured in, we still have a ways to go. We did fall short but we knew just who to turn to... you, our sweet girlfriends! Earlier today, you received Wendy Pope's devotion, "God the Builder." Will you consider helping us build our home... a home base where ministry reaches out to women in the midst of their everyday lives with the hope of Jesus?
