| Posted: 07 Jun 2010 10:02 PM PDT Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan reportedly "considers abortion rights to be settled law" (USA Today, May 21, p. 5A). And we can expect during her confirmation process to hear a number of Senators echo that assertion. Yet America's courts and legislatures have a proud history of changing "settled law." I have often been sobered by it when I consider how blessed I have been in this life. I have also been consoled by it when I struggle to understand why some people in this world... |

Posted: 07 Jun 2010 12:53 PM PDT I concluded a long time ago that, the present law being in force, yes, it would be licit for females to serve at a TLM, but … I wouldn't give much for the peaceful life of the priest afterward. Tar and feathers are tough to remove. Furthermore, according to the present law, male servers are the norm.{pun. |
