Email and Your Job Search
It seems that most of our communication these days is through email. Email is a great tool for your job search, but there are some rules that should be followed to make sure you're using it right.
1. Don't be too casual - Email has become an informal means of communication. But when corresponding with potential employers via email, take a more formal approach by using a profession and friendly tone, checking for spelling errors, and avoiding using symbols like smiley faces.
2. Be respectful of time - Do not email the employer too often to find out the status of the selection process.
3. Be the early bird - Always respond to email from the employer within one business day.
