The 50th anniversary of the birth control pill — the Food and Drug Administration gave it final approval in 1960 — has been the occasion of much media fanfare, societal reflection — and what we might call Secular Triumphalism. The Moral Minefield of Technology

Posted: 13 Jul 2010 12:58 PM PDT

Whenever someone knowingly walks through a minefield, they usually do so with care and concern for their well-being. Q - I would be interested to see what you think about the Aggie tradition of leaving pennies at the statue of Lawrence Sullivan Ross, as a "good luck" for doing well on tests. To me, this is a clear no-no as a Catholic; I never did it, although I think many who have don't mean much by it.
